Sure Well you need to get a permit, which involves you getting reports from places like the psychiatric hospital, drug/alcohol dependency center and so on. Pretty much documents to show you're not mentally ill. Cuz we don't need crazy lunatics running round with handguns
Oh okay, I ask because a lot of countries will only let you own a long gun, such as England. Yeah you've probably heard much about gun laws here in the U.S. They're not as bad as the media would lead you to believe. In the state I'm from you have to have a permit to buy a handgun too and they have background checks are required by law. You can own a fully automatic weapon and silencers too, but you need to have an armourer's permit and the weapon has to be registered with ATF. You get caught with unregistered machine gun without a permit, you go to prison. They've tried to do add mental health checks and otulaw private sales but the problem is they always want to take things a step too far. They almost made to where anyone who saw a psychiatrist in the past 10 years, no matter what they were be treated for would be added to the dangerous persons list.
Sorry, there's a typo in there. They *tried* to make it to where anyone who saw a psychologist in the last 10 years was considered a dangerous peron, but no one would vote on it because it was the definition of mental illness was too broad. Basically if that law got passed, anyone who had an ulcer from stress would have been considered dangerous.
No they are not cheap. I'd personally invest in an actual pistol, those gas pistols tend to break down alot.
